Our Freiburg Story
Winni Konrad and Viktor together form the Weichsel Sharks Jazz Band Freiburg – although the three musicians originally met somewhere completely different: in a small, picturesque village in the Ardèche region of France. For more than twenty years, they spent every summer there on a musical holiday – discovering food, swimming in the Ardèche River, and playing countless jam sessions. When Viktor returned to his hometown of Freiburg in 2025, it quickly became clear: the special spirit of the Berlin-based Weichsel Sharks should move south as well. This is how the Weichsel Sharks Jazz Band Freiburg was born – a jazz trio of professional musicians with international experience, deeply connected to the local scene. Passion, joy of playing, and musical quality come together here to create a truly distinctive sound.
